About us

A finishing line your castings pass through

The Balaji Industries operates a fettling and finishing facility at Vambori in Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra. We take raw castings supplied by our customers and return them finished to specification — gates and risers removed, surfaces dressed, dimensions checked.

The work is carried out on a job-work basis: the castings remain the customer's property throughout, and we are paid per piece for the operations performed. That keeps our customers' inventory on their own books while giving them a finishing line they don't have to run themselves.

We employ a workforce of over seventy on the shop floor, working to each customer's routing sheet, with every batch inspected before dispatch.

Services

What we do

A complete post-casting finishing line, so a part leaves us ready for machining or assembly.

Fettling

Removal of gates, risers, runners and flash from raw castings, bringing the part down to its intended profile.

Grinding & deburring

Surface dressing, parting-line grinding and edge deburring to the tolerances set out on the customer drawing.

Ultra-polish grinding

Higher-grade finishing where surface quality matters — hydraulic passages, sealing faces and visible surfaces.

Grit blasting

Abrasive blasting to clean sand, scale and oxide from castings and prepare a uniform surface for coating.

Acid pickling

Chemical cleaning to strip residual scale and burnt-on sand where blasting alone will not reach.

Inspection & dispatch

Piece-wise checking against the routing sheet, with counts reconciled and batches packed for return.

Built around your routing sheet

Most customers send castings in scheduled batches against a rate contract, part number by part number. We work to their drawings and routing sheets rather than our own, which keeps the finished part consistent with everything else in their supply chain.
